Conservative incumbent wins Ecuador’s presidential election

Ecuador president Daniel Noboa was declared the winner of the country’s runoff presidential election by the national electoral council after more than 90% of the votes were counted. Noboa has vowed to continue his war on gang violence and drug trafficking amid unprecedented homicide rates in 2025. CNN’s Fernando del Rincón reports from Quito.
