New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced on Thursday that the city filed a lawsuit against 17 charter bus companies that provided transportation for migrants headed out of Texas to New York City. The lawsuit, filed in New York Supreme Court, is seeking $708 million in damages to cover the care provided for at least 33,600 asylum seekers who have arrived in the city since 2022.
